Utahns give pets forever homes as part of Clear the Shelters adoption drive

SALT LAKE CITY — It was a busy day for shelters across the country Saturday during the Clear the Shelters adoption drive.

Salt Lake County Animal Services is one of thousands of shelters nationwide that participated in the event, which allows folks to adopt a pet at a low-cost or for no cost at all.

Fox 13 News’ Paul Murphy has more on Saturday’s efforts to empty the shelters, see the video above for his report.

Another pet adoption event will be held August 26 in Salt Lake County. Click here for details on Petapalooza.
